Lieutenant Graduates Florida Sheriffs Association’s Commanders Academy

Lieutenant Christopher Williams has graduated from the Florida Sheriffs Association’s prestigious Commanders Academy. Representing the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office in the 6th graduating class, Lt. Williams was among personnel representing 29 Florida sheriffs’ offices.

The Commanders Academy is an exceptionally informative and educational experience that is vital for public safety leaders of the next generation.  The Commanders Academy provides a comprehensive curriculum and offers programs on leadership skills, business and personal ethics, management training and other topics that relate to the law enforcement profession.

In addition to successfully completing this two-week training course, Commanders Academy Class 6 also raised $27,850 for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. This generous donation will help support the mission of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches in preventing delinquency and to develop lawful, resilient and productive citizens.

Lt. Christopher Williams currently serves the agency as the District 1 Commander, which encompasses the Englewood community. He is set to transfer to Commander of Special Operations on June 4th.
