Executive Order 20-91 released today, April 1, 2020 requires all residents to limit their movement and personal interactions. This order limits movement to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities. This Executive Order is effective 12:01 a.m. on April 3rd (Friday) and shall expire on April 30th unless extended.
This is a very fluid situation. I urge you to practice the guidelines outlined by the CDC to protect yourself and your loved ones. Do not put yourself in unnecessary risk during this unprecedented time.

For clarification, this means that you may still report to work to provide essential services detailed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security which can be located here: ADVISORY MEMORANDUM ON IDENTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE. Additionally, you may leave your home to obtain essential services such as food, gas, medical care, and other necessities. This Executive Order also allows for residents to attend and conduct religious services and does not limit the number of those who attend. Recreational activities ( consistent with social distancing guidelines) such as walking, biking, hunting, fishing, running, or swimming are also deemed allowable.
It is our legal obligation to enforce this Executive Order. However, we urge citizens to use a common sense approach. Ultimately you are safer at home and your interactions with others should be limited to essentials.
We will continue to educate the community as the situation evolves and please remember that the last thing we want to do is take legal action.

We are not going to arrest anyone and everyone who is out in the community. The goal is to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Any disregard for this Executive Order may result in a misdemeanor charge under Florida State Statute 252.50.
