A slew of narcotics charges have been added to a September arrest in which a felon shot a gun into his own home from outside, narrowly missing someone inside.

The narcotics charges stemmed from a suitcase found at the scene belonging to Franklin. Following a search warrant, detectives located many baggies of suspected drugs to include cocaine, marijuana, THC wax and lollipops, mushrooms, MDMA, LSD, GHB, heroin, and various pills.
The substances were all tested and received positive results as the narcotics suspected. In total, the amounts seized were:
- 402g of Cocaine
- 199g of Phenethylamines (MDMA)
- 35.4g of LSD
- 336g of Psilocybin (Mushrooms)
- 1.2g of Heroin
- 447g of Marijuana
- 25 THC Wax units
- 34 Alprazolam pills
- 11 Amphetamine & Dextroamphetamine pills

Add in the guns and his reckless behavior, and you have all the elements to result in someone being seriously hurt… or worse. I thank my Narcotics Team for their hard work and for putting a stop to this before that happened.”

- F.S.S 790.23 1a – Possession of Firearm Ammunition or Weapon by Florida Convicted Felon
- F.S.S. 790.07 2 – Using a Firearm or Carrying Concealed Firearm While Committing Felony
- F.S.S 893.135 1b1 – Cocaine – Trafficking More Than 28 Gram Less Than 150 kg
- F.S.S. 893.135 1k1 – Phenethylamines (commonly known as MDMA) – Trafficking More Than 10 grams
- F.S.S. 893.135 1l1 – LSD -Trafficking More Than 1 Gram
- F.S.S. 893.13 6c – Possession of Excess 10 Grams Schedule I Without Prescription (Psilocybin)
- F.S.S. 893.13 1a1 – Heroin – Possess with Intent to Sell
- F.S.S. 893.13 1a2 – Marijuana – Possess with Intent to Sell
- F.S.S. 893.13 6a – Possess Controlled Substance without Prescription (THC wax)
- F.S.S. 893.13 6a – Possess Controlled Substance without Prescription (Alprazolam)
- F.S.S. 893.13 6a – Possess Controlled Substance without Prescription (Amphetamine & Dextroamphetamines)
- F.S.S. 893.147 1 – Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Under these new charges, Franklin is being held at the Charlotte County Jail with a bond of $318,000.
