A man who has been on Charlotte County’s “Most Wanted” list was arrested on a warrant for 10 counts of child pornography and one count of using a computer to lure or seduce a child.
Just before noon on Friday, June 7, members of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit and members of District 4 Road Patrol arrived at a home in Punta Gorda, FL in reference to a tip that Christopher Andrew Post (01/03/1978) was inside the residence. There has been a felony warrant for the arrest of Christopher Post since August of 2023 for 10 counts of child pornography and one count of using a computer to seduce or lure a child. As deputies arrived on scene, they located and visually identified Post, placing him into handcuffs.
When asked to verify his identity, Post initially responded by stating “I’m not talking”. Throughout the encounter, Post continued to give the same response, until eventually uttering “You’re putting me in handcuffs, so you know who I am.”. Post was officially placed under arrest and escorted to a deputy’s vehicle to be transported to the Charlotte County Jail. Body-worn camera video of this encounter can be seen below.
“I don’t want to be cliche and say ‘you can run but you can’t hide’, but I think this is a good example that we will not give up on looking for you. If you commit a crime in Charlotte County, we will find you and we will hold you accountable. This individual has evaded accountability for his disgusting acts for far too long, and I’m glad to see him finally behind bars.”

Christopher Post is now being held on $270,000 bond. He is also wanted in Sarasota County on similar charges.
