Homeless Man Arrested in String of Englewood Burglaries
A homeless man was arrested Monday afternoon on multiple burglary and theft charges, stemming from an investigation that began in the morning after victims began calling in reports to the Sheriff's Office. The successful investigation included assistance from specialty units including aviation and canine, and ended in the arrest of a suspect after an alert citizen took the initiative to immediately say something to law enforcement after observing suspicious behavior in the parking lot of a local store.
Suspect in Multiple Burglaries Arrested After Victim Spots Him at Local Store
Dennis Ray Lynn, Jr. (4/17/84), is in custody today on multiple charges after the victim of a June 25th vehicle burglary in Port Charlotte recognized him inside a local store. Lynn was apprehended by deputies after the victim called in his location, positively identifying him from her surveillance video of the burglary at her residence.
