The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office along with the Charlotte County School Department received information of a possible threat of violence that may take place at Port Charlotte High School next week.
After a thorough and comprehensive investigation, this threat was deemed to be not credible. The student who made these threats was interviewed and it was determined that he had no possible means to carry out these threats. There is no threat to any students or faculty and this investigation is closed.
Should there be further developments, additional information will be forwarded to the community.
Regarding the gun threat in the Charlotte County High School that was deemed to be no threat … really ? I fear for the 1700 kids and the staff in that school knowing that the mother and step father of the suspect both carry guns , and the step father was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon the same week . The kid himself has been in JD for domestic violence . How could this have been a thorough investigation when there are readily available weapons and with a history of violence in the home and ongoing violence .
