Suspects Receive Prison Sentences for 2016 Narcotics Charges

Darrell Lee Small (2/3/1972), of North Port, Florida, was sentenced on Wednesday for his involvement in several sales of methamphetamine to an undercover detective in January of 2016. Small’s original charges included Conspiracy to Traffic in Drugs and Possession of Methamphetamine. Small received a 25 year sentence for the conspiracy charge and an additional 15 year sentence for the sale charge.

The charges were the result of a lengthy narcotics investigation that led to the undercover purchases of methamphetamine. In total, Small sold undercover detectives over 40 grams of methamphetamine over the course of several encounters.

His co-defendant, Kellie Williams (7/28/90), received a seven year sentence for her involvement.
