(Charlotte County, April 21) – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics unit executed a search warrant on a Rotonda West home leading to multiple drug charges.
After confirming the safety of the home, members of the narcotics unit searched the residence. Approximately 8.1 grams of heroin, 0.4 grams of methamphetamine, twenty-five opioid pills, a vial of Testosterone, drug paraphernalia commonly used in the sale and use of narcotics, as well as over $500 in cash were all located inside the residence.
Inside Walchle’s purse, detectives located two plastic baggies containing methamphetamine. Near the purse, a plastic baggie was identified as containing (5) baggies of heroin weighing approximately 0.6 grams, as well as multiple smoking pipes consistent with methamphetamine use.
Detectives successfully took Michael C. Saunders and Anna Mae Walchle into custody. At the time of arrest, Saunders was carrying a backpack containing narcotics.
A stolen dirt bike out of Charlotte County was also located within the residence.
