CCSO District Offices, Reopen June 1

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office announced the temporary closure of some District Offices. Beginning March 23, the District 1 Office located on Willmington Blvd. Englewood, the District 2 Office at 992 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte in the Murdock section and the District 4 Office, located at 7474 Utilities Dr., Punta Gorda, closed to all foot traffic and walk-in service. The District 3 Office, located at 3110 Loveland Blvd., Port Charlotte remained open for limited service during normal business hours.

As of June 1, we are resuming normal operations and services in our District Offices, with the exception of fingerprinting. Necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the community and staff remain safe from possible exposure to include:

  • Adhering to social distancing principles and CDC guidelines
  • Recommendation of face coverings
  • Hand sanitizer, tissues/napkins provided
  • Hands-free waste receptacles in lobbies
  • Common areas will be disinfected at the close of business each day

Some reports will continue to be taken via the telephone to limit close proximity and possible exposure.
