CCSO Celebrates Centennial Year

From the desk of Sheriff Bill Prummell-

As the calendar has turned to 2021, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has begun another year of service to Charlotte County. It is my honor to continue to lead this agency as we celebrate our 100-year anniversary of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Throughout the existence of the CCSO, there have been a total of 16 Sheriffs, including myself, each with their own style of getting the job done. One thing that is common to all of us, however, is the dedication to the mission of keeping Charlotte County and its people safe.

From bootlegging to terrorism, over the course of the 99 prior years that CCSO has been in existence, the agency has grown both literally and figuratively. We have seen highs and lows and shared laughs and tears along the way.

With each event, lessons were learned, which forged the foundation for today, upon which we have built our core values: Integrity, Professionalism, and Trust. I hold these principles in the highest regard, as they represent what I believe are integral to our community and those we serve.

I want to thank the community for your continued support of my staff and what we do. It is truly a blessing to serve here in Charlotte County. Here’s to 100 more years of growth, peace, and prosperity for all of us – may we continue to learn from and lift each other up as we strive for peace and excellence.
