CCSO Thanks Vested Interest in K9s for Continued Support

On October 20, we published a release that highlighted the extremely generous donation of a bullet and stab resistant vest for K9 Copper.

Copper is not the first to receive a vest at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

In fact, four other CCSO K9s have been outfitted with the protective gear, all courtesy of the organization “Vested Interest in K9s” (Welcome » Vested Interest in K9s (vik9s.org)).

The CCSO K9 Unit plays a vital role in protecting the people of Charlotte County. Their work includes aiding in search and rescue, narcotics detection, and protection of deputies while in the field. Vested Interest in K9s helps to make that possible.

We thank them for their continued support of the work we do and the safety of our four-legged deputies.
