It may be hard to believe, but the holiday season is upon us. Thanksgiving is next week, and the flurry of activity that goes along with it has already begun.
This week, thanks to a community partnership, the CCSO was able to provide nearly 300 families in need with a turkey, ham steaks, or a chicken to help make their Thanksgiving a little brighter.
Following this, we’ll be kicking off our first of four Shop With A Cop events of the year on December 7. As always, this event is funded entirely through the generosity of our community. Please contact my Community Affairs team if you’d like to make a donation, at (941) 575-5227.
My deputies and I love the holidays and every opportunity we get to give back and engage with our community. It’s the best time of the year, in the best county in the state.
Please make sure to follow best practices when it comes to packages delivered, securing your Christmas gift purchases, and being vigilant if and when you buy from online sellers. I want everyone to have a happy and safe holiday season.
