Sheriff Prummell Reappointed to Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission

Sheriff Bill Prummell was reappointed on April 13th to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) by Governor Rick Scott. Scheduled to serve until 2021, this will be his first full term on the commission, having first served a partial term after his appointment in 2015.

 

The CJSTC is comprised of 19 members, representing various levels of law enforcement personnel (corrections and patrol), training staff, the Attorney General, and the general public.

The CJSTC oversees certification, employment, training and conduct of Florida law enforcement, corrections, and correctional probation officers. Meeting quarterly around the state, the Commission’s mission is to ensure that all citizens of Florida are served by criminal justice officers who are ethical, qualified, and well-trained.
