Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Detectives are seeking additional information from the public regarding the disappearance and murder of Christine Muriel Flahive on January 4, 1995.
Cold Case Detectives have identified JONATHAN CHARLES PAYNE as one of the Persons of Interest in this investigation.
Cold Case Detectives have confirmed that Jonathan Payne had close ties to the Rollins Street location recently searched by Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, State Attorney’s Office, and the Peace River K-9 Search and Rescue team, as well as being a patron of J.D.’s Lounge in Punta Gorda in 1995.
PAYNE died in Florida in 2011.
Cold Case Detectives are asking for persons who knew or have had contact with JONATHAN CHARLES PAYNE to contact them.
