The body that was located by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office in Prairie Creek on March 30th, 2019, has now been positively identified as Gage Randolph Jackson, (DOB 1/18/2000), of Punta Gorda, FL.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death.
Update 5/2/19: The investigation into the death of Gage Jackson is still very active. Detectives with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit have conducted searches at several locations and continue to speak to individuals who may have information. Although details of the ongoing investigation are held from the public to protect the integrity of the investigation, we assure the community that we are still actively pursuing a resolution for his family.
Anyone who believes they may have information on the death of Gage Jackson, or interacted with him in the days prior to his disappearance, is still encouraged to contact a detective in Major Crimes. Every tip or piece of information is thoroughly examined. Tipsters also have the option to remain anonymous.
