Englewood Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

An investigation by the FBI Fort Myers Child Exploitation Task Force that led to a search warrant on Friday morning in Englewood resulted in the arrest of Frank Ciavattieri (8/24/39) on charges for Possession and Transmission of Child Pornography. The search warrant was served by members of the Task Force, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Deputy First Class Don Woelke with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office was the lead investigator for the Task Force’s investigation into Ciavattieri.

Between May 16 and May 20, 2019, Task Force detectives utilized a law enforcement application to conduct an undercover investigation into the internet sharing of child pornography. During this investigation, it was determined that activity was coming from 551 Rotonda Circle in Charlotte County.

Investigators made contact and interviewed Frank J. Ciavattieri, who did provide a statement to the investigators. Approximately 7000 files of child pornography files were located while on scene.

Frank Ciavattieri was placed under arrested for 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 1 count of Distribution of Obscene Material.
