The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a lawful search warrant in the 1100 block of Strasburg Dr., Port Charlotte on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Arrested and charged with various narcotics violations was Dominic Patrick Mucci, dob 3/17/1963.
After a comprehensive narcotics investigation, actionable intelligence and probable cause was developed in order to secure a search warrant. Located within the home was approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine, 15.18 grams of cannabis, 7 Quetiapine Fumarate pills, which is not a controlled substance and is obtainable only by prescription, and a firearm and ammunition.
Based on the investigation and execution of the search warrant, Mucci was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Harm New Legend w/o a Prescription and Violation of Probation/Community Control.
Sheriff Bill Prummell states, “I’m very proud of the work my Narcotics Unit is doing to ensure the quality of life for our citizens and to safeguard the future of our children”. “I will continue to fight to keep illicit drugs from entering our community”
