CCSO on scene at early morning death investigation

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has been on scene at a residence on Turner Street since the early morning hours of November 9, 2020. This incident began as a possible home invasion burglary leaving two deceased.

Major Crimes detectives continue to work diligently and we appreciate the publics patience with the release of information.

There is no threat to the community as this was an isolated incident.

Additional updates will be released once confirmed.

Update 9:30am- At this time we can confirm we are working a homicide investigation. The call placed to dispatch was received from an individual inside the residence on Turner Street. There is no threat to the public and we are asking for anyone with information to call into the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office at 941-639-0013 or anonymously via our CCSO mobile app.

Just before 5am Monday morning, deputies were dispatched to Turner Street in Englewood. Members of the CCSO Major Crimes Unit as well as Forensics is on scene investigating the incident.
