At approximately 3:30am, deputies responded to a residential structure fire at 3398 Pinetree St. in Port Charlotte. Unfortunately, the sole occupant of the home, Jennifer Ann Dirrane, was discovered deceased inside. At this time, the State Fire Marshall and medical examiner believe this to be an accidental fire with no signs of suspicious activity. The investigation is ongoing.
Next of kin has been notified.
