Port Charlotte, FL – August 8, 2022
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Community Policing Unit, organized Operation Clean Slate just in time for the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
With assistance from The Department of Corrections, Keep Charlotte Beautiful, Charlotte County Public Works, and Charlotte County Solid Waste, 10 inactive homeless camps were cleaned, collecting 68 yards of debris from the area around Murdock Middle School.
This operation greatly improves this blighted area and would not have been possible without help from The Department of Corrections, Keep Charlotte Beautiful, Charlotte County Public Works, and Charlotte County Solid Waste.
“Through collaboration, we can make a difference in our community. Thank you to those who came out to help make this area safe, especially within such close proximity to the school,” states Sheriff Bill Prummell.
