Sergeants Christopher Kearney and Shaun Lissow attended the FBI-LEEDA Command Leadership Institute last week, hosted at the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. The course is a dynamic, intensive, and challenging program specifically designed to prepare law enforcement leaders for command level positions.

For both Sergeants, this training wrapped up a three year commitment to completing the FBI-LEEDA Leadership “Trilogy”, which includes the successful completion of the Supervisor Leadership and Executive Leadership Institutes.

The Supervisor Leadership Institute is designed for first-line supervisors with the goal of enhancing leadership competencies. The Executive Leadership Institute focuses on the emerging challenges facing the law enforcement profession.
Sgt. Kearney and Sgt. Lissow have shown personal interest in advancing their education as it relates to their profession and improving service to their community. We congratulate their hard work and appreciate their commitment to our agency’s mission and core values.
