A search warrant was served at a Port Charlotte residence on Friday morning, resulting in the arrest of five suspects and the seizure of methamphetamine and fentanyl. The search of 23332 Olean Blvd was the result of an investigation by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit into two overdoses and other reported drug activity.
This investigation was started in February after a narcotics detective responded to an overdose at the residence. Multiple traffic stops from vehicles leaving the residence lead to narcotics arrests, followed by another overdose in May.
Two of the suspects attempted to flee the residence and were charged accordingly (listed below). A search of the residence led to the discovery of methamphetamine and fentanyl in multiple locations. Drug paraphernalia was also located throughout the residence containing the residue of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin.

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Resisting an Officer without Violence
– Possession of ammunition or weapon by convicted felon.
Daniel Allen Spoonamore (DOB 12/21/83)
