Charlotte County, FL- July 22, 2022
No matter what you’re doing – shopping, playing a round of golf, enjoying the beach or one of our beautiful parks, or just hanging out at home – the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office wants you to be safe. To make sure that happens, we provide a multitude of programs from which you or your loved ones may benefit. You can learn about these programs by stopping by any CCSO office, by contacting the Community Affairs Unit at (941) 575-5345 or by downloading our free mobile app.
One of the bigger issues facing our residents is the possibility of a loved one going missing. Perhaps the person suffers from Alzheimer’s or dementia, or maybe there is a form of Autism involved. The truth is, it happens everywhere, and preparation is key. With that in mind, CCSO offers several programs to help protect those who are prone to wandering.
These programs include Project Lifesaver, Take Me Home, DNA Scent Kits, and more. We also provide a Senior Outreach Program, in which we call seniors living alone and check on them once a week. It’s just one more way we bring peace of mind to our residents and their families.
“When someone goes missing, every second counts – and can be extremely stressful for the people who love and care about that person. My team does everything possible to make reunification happen quickly and safely.”
Sheriff Bill Prummell
