On October 11, at approximately 1:30pm, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit has ended a yearlong investigation with the arrest of John Taylor Andrews (DOB 05/29/1991).
The investigation started in December 2016 after narcotics detectives viewed videos of John Andrews using illegal drugs on several of his social media accounts. Utilizing confidential informants and undercover detectives, several purchases of illegal drugs were made from John Andrews over the course of the investigation. Drugs included cocaine, Oxycodone pills, Vicodin Pills, marijuana, cannabis oil, and cannabis resin.
The drugs from the various purchases were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Laboratory for testing prior to developing some of the charges. Throughout the investigation, Andrews utilized several residences in Charlotte County and stayed in Miami for an extended period. John Andrews was located yesterday and charged with the following offenses:
Sale and Delivery of Cocaine
Sale and Delivery of Controlled Substance (2 Counts, Oxycodone/Hydrocodone)
Sale and Delivery of Cannabis (2 Counts)
Sale and Delivery Cannabis Resins
Possession of Cocaine
Possession of Controlled Substance (2 Counts, Oxycodone/Hydrocodone)
Possession of Cannabis Resins
Possession of Cannabis over 20 grams
Possession of Cannabis less than 20 grams
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (4 Counts)
John Andrews was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains in custody.
